In Search of “Wild Dog” the Indian Dholes

The Wild Dog – (dholes):- Dholes are among the most popular predators in the world! They are so intelligent, good looking and charismatic & almost always up to some action!

The dhole is a highly social animal, living in large clans which occasionally split up into small packs to hunt. It primarily preys on medium-sized ungulates, which it hunts by tiring them out in long chases, and kills by disembowelling them. Unlike most social canids (but similar to African wild dogs), dholes let their pups eat first at a kill. Though fearful of humans, dhole packs are bold enough to attack large and dangerous animals such as wild boar, water buffalo, and even tigers.

Itinerary for In Search of “Wild Dog” the Indian Dholes

Day 01 : Arrive Nagpur – Kanha National Park, 270 km
Upon arrival at Nagpur airport meet with our representative at airport arrival lounge, as he will be awaiting for your withholding a placard of yours name. After meet & greet, leave for Kanha National Park. On arrival check into the wildlife resort. Overnight stay at resort.

Day 02 : Kanha National Park
Morning & afternoon jungle safari to the national park in search of wild dog & other wildlife viewing. Overnight stay at resort.

Day 03 : Kanha National Park – Pench National Park, 200 km
This morning we will go on our last scheduled jungle safari to the Kanha national park. Later return to the resort for fresh-n-up & breakfast. In the afternoon drive to Pench National Park. Upon arrival check into the wildlife resort. Overnight stay at resort.

Day 04 : Pench National Park
Morning & afternoon jungle safari to the national park in search of wild dog & other wildlife viewing. Overnight stay at resort.

Day 05 : Pench National Park
Morning & afternoon jungle safari to the national park in search of wild dog & other wildlife viewing. Overnight stay at resort.

Day 06 : Pench National Park
Morning & afternoon jungle safari to the national park in search of wild dog & other wildlife viewing. Overnight stay at resort.

Day 07: Pench – Nagpur, 80 km
Morning after breakfast drive to Nagpur. On arrival transfer to airport to board the flight for onward connections.
